Echo: Second choice? so what?

Jericho Rosales has no problem in accepting roles that were first offered to others.

“It doesn’t matter kung ano (or sino) ’yung pinalitan mo, kung may pinalitan ka ba or ikaw ’yung ipinalit. If it’s fit for you, it’s fit for you. It has happened to me so many times,” said the award-winning actor in an interview with Bulletin Entertainment.

The statement was prompted by rumors that he replaced Paulo Avelino on an upcoming teleserye.

Jericho (or Echo to some of his friends) thinks timing and creative vision are all there is to landing roles. More, he believes it’s all up to divine design.

“God is controlling the situation. ‘Okay, that’s it. I have plans for this project. Let’s put this guy.’”

Year ago, Echo had to beg off from playing one of the lead roles in “Dekada ’70” in favor of the soap “Pangako Sa ‘Yo.”

“But look what happened to Piolo. He won best actor (for ‘Dekada’). (On my end), ’yung ‘Pangako Sa ’Yo was shown in different countries…”
