Dennis Trillo
It’s been a while since Dennis Trillo was in a romantic relationship.
Recently, rumors linking him to Ai Ai delas Alas made the rounds of media. Apparently, Ai Ai hinted on the possibility of going out with the actor in a recent interview.
Dennis sees nothing wrong with it. The country’s Comedy Queen may be older than him but age doesn’t matter to Dennis. He describes Ai Ai as “mabait, masayahin and easy to be with.”
He admitted that they usually text each other messages, but “kumustahan lang, nothing serious.”
Dennis remains a Kapuso as he renewed his contract with GMA Network last February. He has received offers from other networks but he’s decided to stay put.
At his contract-signing, Dennis said, “Sobrang proud ako na Kapuso pa rin ako. Excited na akong gumawa ng mga bagong shows. Excited na akong magtrabaho ulit. Wala pa akong mahihiling pa. Dito sa GMA ako sobrang at home dahil kilala ko na ang mga tao dito mula sa pinaka maliit hanggang sa pinaka malaki. Dito ako sobrang kumportable dahil sila ang nagbigay sa akin ng mga projects ba memorable kaya nandito pa ako hanggang ngayon. Secured ako sa GMA dahil alam ko na hindi nila ako pababayaan. Hindi ko nga napansin na 11years na ako dito sa GMA.”
There was speculation that because of the unprecedented success of “My Husband’s Lover,” Book 2 is already in the works.
“May nabalitaan din ako,” Dennis said, “but if ever nagkaroon ng Book 2 hindi naman immediately para naman magkaroon ako ng breather para hindi ako ma-typecast sa ganoong klaseng character. Of course, ang nagpapa-shine sa isang actor hindi lang naman magbibigay na eksena. Ang isang factor na nagpapakinang sa kanya lalo ay ‘yung pagiging versatile niya, ‘yung pagiging convincing niya as an actor, hindi lang ngawa ng ngawa sa isang eksena na mabigat, puro iyak at tulo ng luha. Kailangan may mai-offer ka na iba. Dahil kung puro mabibigat, mapapagod ang mga tao na manonood sa yo.”
Would he be willing to accept a comedy role? “That would be challenging,” Dennis said. “Hindi na ako kakabahan kasi nakagawa na ako ng comedy noon.”
That said, if Dennis has a choice, he’d rather do a culturally-relevant film or series. “Gusto ko sana katulad ng ginagawa ng mga Koreano, pinapakita nila ang kultura nila, dun sila nakikilala.”
