Ariella Arida is Miss Universe ‘Ice Princess’

The Phlippines’ Miss Universe bet Ariella “Ara” Arida continues to bolster her chance of winning the crown after being picked as “Ice Princess” in a recent glam photo shoot.

“In this glam shot, Arida transformed from her exotic sultry look into a high class fashion model,” the pageant’s official photographer Fadil Berisha described Ara in the international prestigious beauty pageant’s winter-themed photo shoot held a few days ago, as quoted by PEP.

He considers Ara “a force to be reckoned with, as she can transform from different looks as long as she wishes… From her frizzy mane to her pout and down to her skin stone…”

The Albanian American fashion photographer also believes that she’s now “(a) major favorite for the crown, and if she continues to wow the judges, she could be the next to wear the Nexus crown.”

Ms. Spain came in second in the “Ice Princess” hierarchy, followed by candidates from Great Britain, South Africa, and Australia, respectively.

Numbers on her side

Ara has also garnered the most views for the Miss Universe 2013 “Truth and Dare” videos, with 175,676 YouTube views as of this writing.

Her “Truth” question was: “What do you miss the most about being a kid?”

The 24-year-old lass from Laguna answered, “Being fearless, young, and carefree.”

She expounded: “…When I was a kid, I don’t have to carry any problems in my life. I just have to look for food when I’m hungry, or, ask for playmates when I’m bored.”

Ara also accomplished her “Dare” task which was to act like a chicken across the room, during which she flapped imaginary chicken wings while clucking, “Tiktilaok!”

Miss Universe meet-and-greet

The Pinay bet was able to mingle with reigning Miss Universe Olivia Culpo at a pre-pageant event.

The former Miss USA uploaded a photo of them together on her official Instagram account (oliviculpo), with the caption, “With the gorgeous #MissPhilippines @araarida @MissUPhils last night during the #missuniverse Gift of Life Auction @RealBbPilipinas.”

Ara reposted the photo, captioned, “Omg Im so happy seeing this. Thank you to the sweet, nice and very gorgeous Ms. Olivia!”

The 62nd Miss Universe pageant is being held at Moscow, Russia, with the coronation night set for Nov. 9.
