Actress Claudine Barretto’s father, Miguel Barretto, claims that his daughter had taken a drug test recently that came back negative.

Barretto shared that he asked Claudine to take the test on Sunday, Sept. 30, as a birthday gift to him.

“Complete drug test para mawala na talaga ’yung lahat ng bahid na drug addict ka – kung pumasa ka,” Miguel told “TV Patrol.”

He continued, “Negative and ‘passed’ lahat (in 10 types of drugs).”

Taking the drug test was also in response to allegations by Claudine’s estranged husband Raymart Santiago, in the latter’s sworn statement that included photos and videos of her supposed drug use.

The actress’ lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, explained, “Ano ang tinutusok ni Claudine doon sa videos? There’s a very simple explanation. First, Gerovital H3 – nabuking talaga ang beauty secret niya. Ano ba ’yung gerovital H3, is it a drug?”

Quoting an entry “From Wikipedia, ‘Gerovital was developed in Romania by Ana Aslan. The main ingredient is the well-known local anesthetic procaine hydrochloride. It also contains small amounts of benzoic acid, potassium metabisulfite and disodium phosphate.’”

Topacio said, “None of these are in the list of Dangerous Drugs Act as regulated or prohibited drugs,” adding that they even have a sworn statement by a witness who supplies Barretto with Gerovital H3.

The actress’ camp also presented drug test results taken from October 2011 to April 2013, wherein she also tested negative.

“Hindi ko maintindihan bakit sinisiraan niya si Claudine – bakit niya sinasabi na drug addict si Claudine – na hindi naman totoo,” Miguel said.

He even challenged Raymart “na magpa-drug test…

“Ako magbabayad, para huwag niyang sabihing pinagastos ko pa siya.”

Claudine’s camp also filed an anti-wiretapping case against Raymart recently for alleged illegal evidence-gathering.
