Beauty queen turned music artist Krista Kleiner maintains that she is just good friends with Black Eyed Peas member Taboo.
Rumors about the two supposedly being in a relationship surfaced when Kleiner announced her planned musical collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning artist early this month.
Kleiner, who now goes with the moniker Krista K, revealed that Taboo is actually married – to a Filipina at that.
The ex-girlfriend of R & B singer Jay- R added that she is engaged to be married herself to a non -showbiz guy, an Australian-Singaporean named Patrick Grove.
Kleiner and Taboo met last April. According to Kleiner, it was Taboo who broached the idea of working together, offering an invite to record songs in LA, where the latter is based.
“That trip went so well that he offered to up the commitment and take me on, completely mentoring me, producing lots more songs for me, and working on a live show together,” Kleiner shared in an interview with Interaksyon.
She added, “Taboo has been such a great help in guiding me to find myself as an artist. We not only have a great creative partnership, but have also become good friends. I respect him so much as a person and an artist. I’m so excited to have this opportunity to continue working with him on original music and a show together.”
At the moment, Kleiner is busy promoting her single, “Bading Ka Ba, Baby?” a novelty tune about a girl dating someone who might actually be gay.
“I’ve been holding on to this song and the finished music video for what feels like ages now because I’ve been so busy. Finally putting it out feels a bit like giving birth. The song and music video are just so funny! I really believe the Philippine market will enjoy this one,” Kleiner said.
