The employer of Filipina caregiver Rose “Osang” Fostanes is currently looking for someone to replace the talent show sensation after she obtained a visa that allows her to pursue a singing career in Israel.

The ailing woman, an Israeli reportedly in her 50′s, had the caregiver in her employ for the past six years.

Obviously satisfied with Fostanes’ work, she wants another hardworking Filipino to take care of her, but with one prerequisite: preferably someone who can’t sing.

Apparently, she does not want to lose another good employee to the limelight.

“Mamimili na daw talaga siya ng kukunin niya (kasi) baka mamaya maging second ‘X Factor’ daw,” Fostanes said in a live interview on “Umagang Kay Ganda.”

Fostanes added, “Bale first time siyang nagkaroon talaga ng caregiver na Filipina. So, parang nagustuhan niya ‘yung trabaho ko kaya parang gusto niya uli ng Filipina. Pero dahil nga du’n sa nangari, nalaman niya na lahat pala ng mga Filipina ay magaling kumanta. This time, mamimili na talaga siya ng walang talent.”

Fostanes expressed willingness to continue working for her, but it was the Israeli herself who insisted that she pursue her dreams.

The 47-year-old Fostanes, who has spent 20 years of her life as a caregiver, admitted that she is having a hard time adapting to her new work routine.

“Nakakapagod, hindi kasi ako sanay sa ganito. Dati caregiver lang gagawin – pag-gising mo sa umaga, asikasuhin mo lang ‘yung alaga mo. Ngayon hindi,” she said. “Kailangan talaga nakahanda ka kahit saan.”

Fostanes is currently in Manila for a one-week visit. She is yet to meet with her family as her tight schedule doesn’t allow for some down time. Apart from recording sessions for her debut album, Fostanes is also busy rehearsing for a series of concerts in Israel, Australia and Las Vegas. There are also plans for her to appear in a concert to be staged locally, but nothing is final as of press time.

“Nakakagulat po talaga kasi hindi naman ako sanay sa ganitong pagsalubong kaya parang na-schock ako,” she said of the Pinoys’ warm welcome upon her arrival on Wednesday night.
