Many have been wondering why singer K-La Rivera left ABS-CBN for GMA-7 even before her career could fully fly.
Rivera was a finalist in ABS-CBN’s “Star Power: Search For The Next Female Pop Superstar” in 2010. She appeared in an episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”
She is now set to appear on “Carmela,” her first project with GMA-7.
“Wherever there’s work, that’s where I’ll be,” Rivera said in a report on Pep.
She added, “Natutuwa ako na maganda naman ang pag-welcome sa akin. I’m excited din for whatever will be ahead for me.”
The former MYX VJ was introduced as the newest Kapuso artist via “Sunday All Stars,” but was re-christened as “Kaye.”
“Kasi dito po sa GMA, may names na similar kay K-La. At least ’yung Kaye, medyo malapit din po sa pangalan ko,” she said.
‘We’re Friends’
Rivera is rumored to be the girlfriend of Kapuso actor and “My Husband’s Lover” breakout star Tom Rodriguez.
“We’re okay. We’re friends naman,” she would say of Rodriguez.
The theater actress added, “Si Tom sobrang bait niya and we’re just close lang.”
Rivera also clears the issue that she and Rodriguez are living together.
“My family is in Canada, so I’m here on my own… (but) I have my own place,” she quipped.
Asked if they are exlcusively dating, she responded, “I don’t know… I want to keep it private sana.” Adding, “I mean, that’s the only thing that doesn’t come out on camera. So, kung tungkol sa personal life ko po, sa akin na lang ’yon.”
