Actress Kathryn Bernardo received a white puppy from on-screen partner Daniel Padilla as a gift for her 18th birthday.
Bernardo posted a photo of her new cute pet she named Snow on Instagram with the caption, “Welcome to the family.”
In previous interviews, the “Got To Believe” actress said that she personally requested a puppy as birthday present from Padilla.
“‘Yung aso ang binigay ko sa kanya, si Snow. Una kasi gusto niya ng golden retriever pero may nagbigay na sa kanya,” Padilla, who will be Bernardo’s escort at her debut party, said in a report on ABS-CBN.
Bernardo turned 18 last March 26 and her star-studded vintage-inspired celebration will be held later at The Blue Leaf Filipinas in Parañaque.
Asked to give a birthday message to the actress, Padilla said: “Sana marami pang magandang bagay na mangyari sa iyo. Lagi kong hihilingin na tuloy-tuloy lang ang mabubuting (nangyayari sa iyo) at pagiging inspirasyon mo (sa iba).”
Other celebrities who also received a dog as a gift on various occasions are Kris Bernal and Gerald Anderson.
It was Carl Guevara who gave Bernal a male Pomeranian puppy.
Meanwhile, Anderson’s pet Shih Tzu, Oreo, was given to him by Gina Pareño while working together in the series, “Tayong Dalawa.”
