Kaye Abad, Paul Jake Castillo admit relationship

Paul Jake Castillo and Kaye Abad share some of their photos together in their respective Instagram accounts

After posting photos of them together on their respective Instagram account, Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo have finally confirmed being in a relationship.

“Yes we’re together na,” read part of the couple’s joint statement sent to ABS-CBN writer Darla Sauler.

According to the Kapamilya stars, their relationship only happened recently.

“We are ok. Happy,” they added.

Castillo, a former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate, was with Abad and her family in Cebu last week for the Summer SunScream Music Festival, based on their Instagram posts.

One of Abad’s recent posts shows her and Castillo in swimwear. Its accompanying caption read: “Thank you…”

Castillo, on the other hand, shared a photo of him and Abad at the festival venue.

Early May, Abad and Castillo spent time together with a group of friends in Bangkok, Thailand.

Abad was in a three-year relationship with singer-actor Guji Lorenzana before calling it quits early this year. Castillo broke up with actress Melissa Ricks last year.

Before the news of confirmation broke, Ricks had already weighed in on the supposed Kaye-Paul Jake link.

“May kutob na akong mangyayari iyan eventually so ako naman, I just wish them the best. I just wish them happiness. Lahat na lang tayo maging masaya… Ayaw ko nang pahabain, hayaan na lang natin sa ganoon.

“Ayaw ko na ng gulo. Parang, can we just live happy lives? Friends naman kami ni Paul Jake. Relasyon na nila ’yun… sila na lang tanungin niyo,” she said at that time.

The former “Star Circle Quest” finalist went on to share that she and Abad had the chance to bond before.

“Lagi kaming magkasama before kapag mga Sinulog, mga group-group, gimik-gimik. Kaming lahat nina Paul Jake, nina Guji, nina Beauty (Gonzales). Marami kami,” she recalled.

“Ganoon talaga ang buhay nowadays. Saka artista naman tayo; switch, switch, pass, pass. Tanggap ko na ’yun.”
