Not known for holding back his opinions, Ramon ‘Mon’ Tulfo spoke exclusively to “The Buzz,” Sunday, about Claudine Barretto’s controversial Instagram photo with his younger brother.

“Natawa ako kasi kilalang-kilala ko si Raffy. ’Yung tawa niya, ‘yung ngiti niya (sa litrato), parang nakakaloko,” Mon said with amusement. “Eh sinakyan-sakyan lang niya si Claudine,” he added.

The photo, posted Thursday, showed Claudine with her lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Raffy Tulfo and an unidentified woman. It’s caption read: “Peace. Had a nice afternoon with you po, Sir Raffy Tulfo. God bless po.”

Through a phone interview with the show, Claudine clarified they were in the same area for lunch but they had separate meetings.

“…Hindi naman importate kung sino ang unang nagsabi… Ang most important is napaka-mabuting tao pala niya,” Claudine explained their supposed reconciliation vaguely.

For his part, Raffy noted, “Si Atty. Ferdie Topacio ay best friend ko. Sinabihan niya ako na if its okay na isasama niya si Claudine sa isang meeting namin. ‘Maganda siguro kung magka bati-bati kayo.’ Sabi ko, ‘Oo siguro.’” He also added, “Ayun, nagkapatawaran. Okay ’yun.”

The relationship between Claudine and the Tulfo brothers has been strained, to say the least.

In May 2012, she and her now-estranged husband Raymart Santiago had an altercation with the eldest Tulfo at the Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Shortly after, Raffy, along with Mon’s other younger brothers Erwin and Ben, allegedly threatened Raymart and a male companion on their now defunct “T3” for supposedly beating up their brother.

The couple filed cases against the three brothers, and even petitioned for a writ of amparo, a form of protection order, against them – which was dismissed; their motion for reconsideration was likewise denied.

Mon’s complaints against the couple, meanwhile, were dismissed for lack of probable cause.

In the same “Buzz” exclusive, Mon said, “Matagal ko na siyang (Claudine) pinatawad. Dapat unawain mo na ang babae…”

Claudine also reiterated, “Actually nakapag-usap na kami ni kuya Mon noong una pa lang… Humingi (siya) ng pasensya at ako rin ganon sa kanya.”

As for his cases against the former couple, Mon noted, “Wala na, hindi na nga ako nag-a-attend ng mga hearing. Pinatawad ko na nga silang lahat.”

In parting, though, he said, “I would appreciate it kung si Raymart at ‘yung si (Eduardo) Atillano (the co-accused) ay humingi ng patawad sa akin bilang mga lalaki.”

Claudine has her own marital and legal woes to deal with these days, with her filing several charges against her estranged husband in court. (Report by ASA)
