Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos has cited the ecotourism project of Hannah’s Beach Resort & Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte as fast-tracking the development of the region’s incipient tourism industry.

Hannah’s Resort & Convention Center is owned and managed by retired Colonel Ricardo Nolasco, Jr., who said that the candidates and winners of the ecotourism beauty pageant, now on its second year, are adequately oriented on ecotourism.

INTRIGUING PREMISE
The possibility of twins being born to different fathers is the intriguing premise presented by GMA Network in the series “The Half Sisters,” which starts airing tomorrow after “Eat Bulaga!.” Playing the twins are Barbie Forteza (as Diana Alcantara) and Thea Tolentino (Ashley Alcantara). Their mother, Rina Mercado-Alcantara, is played by Jean Garcia.
Asked if she believes in the possibility, Jean said “Yes,” but quickly added, “It’s rare though.”
According to Jean, the phenomenon is scientifically called heteropaternal superfecundation.
“In my character’s case,” Jean explained, “after my honeymoon with my husband Alfred (played by Ryan Eigenmann), my former boyfriend Benjie (Jomari Yllana) raped me.”
Also in the cast of “The Half Sisters,” directed by Mark Reyes, are Carmen Soriano, Andre Paras, Pinky Marquez, Carlo Gonzalez, and Mel Martinez.
