Kris sorry for sparking criticism against Ate Vi

Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto has taken in stride the criticisms hurled at her by some netizens

after TV host-actress Kris Aquino posted on Instagram a photo of a box of ensaymada and a card that the former sent.

The card read: “Dearest Kris, Thank you sooo much for believing in me. I truely appreciate it friend…

“Life is short… Enjoy it – You are so bless… God is good! Smile J I Love You. Ate Vi <3.”

The correct spelling is “truly” and the noun should have been “blessed.”

Santos addressed the issue via a text message to Aquino.

“Hi Kris… I am being bashed because of your instagram post. Hahaha. I guess marami pa akong dapat matutunan. I take all of these as constructive criticisms. Tao lang; nagkakamali.”

The governor then told her detractors, “…Salamat po . Again, thanks for believing in me. Until next time….”

Aquino was quick in apologizing to Santos, explaining how she, “Didn’t think about the wrong spelling because what mattered to me was your kindness & the thought behind the card.”

She asked Santos for permission to make their exchange public, to which the latter acquiesced.

In posting the exchange, Aquino wrote as caption: “I woke up & saw this text from Ate Vi. And it made me realize why I am such a fan of this woman: she is BRAVE, she has a WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR, she has WISDOM, and she is TRUTHFUL!

“Above everything else, she remains HUMBLE! HINDI SYA PIKON KASI NGA ALAM NYA THAT HER LIFE IS GOOD.”

According to Aquino, Santos’ example “will continue to inspire me for the rest of my life!”
