Anne Curtis’ portrayal of a vampire in a Hollywood independent film got a favorable review from horror fansite DreadCentral.com.
In his October 25 review of “Blood Ransom”, writer Matt Boiselle described the film as “a decent watch to those who like their vampire flicks gritty and paced with danger.”
Boiselle also wrote that the film “gives vampire fans an adequate slice of cinematic blood sausage, without getting all of that ‘Twilight’ residue stuck in your fangs.”
But while the critic described the performances of the cast including international actors Alexander Dreymon, Caleb Hunt, Jamie Harris and Filipino-American Darion Basco, he singled out Anne’s performance as the exception while taking note of her strong screen presence.
“Her gaze is hypnotizing,” he noted.
Founded in 2006, Dread Central is an American website that specializes in horror news, interviews and reviews covering horror films, comic books, novels and toys.
