Finally, the search for the Performing Artist Extraordinaire begins tomorrow via GMA Network’s newest reality talent search “Bet ng Bayan” hosted by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Alden Richards.
“Bet ng Bayan” will showcase exceptional Filipino talents in dancing and singing, among many others.
“It’s the first talent show that I’ll be hosting na hindi lang singing. This one is different kasi may kakaibang talento at sayawan. And what we’re doing in ‘Bet ng Bayan’ is that each category will have a winner,” said Regine.
Alden expressed excitement to be part of the talent search, relating how, “the show will definitely be inspiring for thousands aspiring to fulfill their lifelong dreams.”
Directed by Mark Reyes, “Bet ng Bayan” will air every Sunday (9:40-10:40 p.m.) with updates from Monday to Friday (10:05-10:20 p.m.).

‘A Mother’s Soul’ today at PLM
“A Mother’s Soul,” an original stage musical about the life of former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, will be staged today at 7 p.m. at the Justo Albert Auditorium of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).
Written by Francis G. Tanseco who co-directs it with London-based stage director/choreographer/commercial model/actor Ronnie del Barrio, the play will showcase original songs composed by Marites Anino.

Playing the title role are: Mercy Viola (as the present-day Imelda Marcos), Armie Zuniga (middle-aged Imelda), Gina Respall (young Imelda), Annalin Bantug (young Imelda understudy), and Sandra Kim (child Imelda).
Playing former President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos are Angelo Estrada (Manila City Mayor Joseph Estrada’s grandson) and German Moreno’s protégé, Rudell Ramirez.
The musical is produced by the Association of Merkaba Arts Philippines in partnership with the Manila City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, in cooperation with the National Parks Development Committee.
