Attracting more blessings in 2015

Rhonda Byrne, author of world-famous book “The Secret,” has a new tome out titled “The Magic” about attracting more blessings.

Since 2015 is just a “kembot” away, I would like to share some of the things it says, mainly looking forward, not back.

Singer-songwriter Willie Nelson, was quoted by Rhonda Byrne in “The Magic” as saying, “When I started to count my blessings, my whole life turned around.”

Count your blessings. A lot of people might have told you that, but have you ever given it a try?

According to the book, when you’re grateful for the things you have, no matter how small are, you will see these things increase exponentially.

Like if you learn how to be grateful about your job. When you learn to love, respect and appreciate whatever it is that you do, it actually becomes easy. More, it becomes enjoyable. The magic follows in that, suddenly, opportunities would simply sprout from nowhere.

The idea also works well in relagrateful for the relationships you’re in – if you’re more appreciative of your partner – you will see yourself loving him or her more.

The same goes with money. If you’re grateful for what you have, however little, you will see it grow right before your eyes.

See, it’s all about being thankful.

Now what happens when you don’t count your blessings and instead fall into the trap of counting negative things? Like when you lament about the things you don’t have, when you criticize or find fault in other people, when you complain about traffic, waiting in lines, delays, the government, not having enough money, or the weather.

When you count negative things, they double. More, every negative you count cancels the blessings that should have been yours already.

I often say this to people: “Huwag na huwag mong sasabihin na wala kang pera. Kasi kapag sinabi mo iyon baka papunta na ‘yung pera sa iyo, lumihis pa!”

Personally I have tried both and I can assure you that counting your blessings leads to happiness and peace of mind—exactly what I wish for in 2015.
