Frencheska unveils song about ‘dark past’

Frencheska Farr has candidly admitted her new single “Let My Fire Out” was inspired by past challenges.

However, she stopped short in giving details in an interview, simply saying it has something to do with “misunderstandings” within their family.

’Yung hindi nakikipagusap talaga with each other.”

Committing “Let My Fire Out” to paper was cathartic for the GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) talent in that it helped her find acceptance.

She explained, “I realized na siguro kailangan ko lang tanggapin kung sino talaga ako at ’yung pagkatao ko dati… alam niyo po ’yung dark past na gusto niyong kalimutan?”

Elaborating further, she said, “Actually, ’yung fire na tinutukoy ko (sa kanta) is more on a fire na deep inside, kung ano talaga ’yung nararamdaman mo, sasabihin mo at hindi ko siya palalampasin.”

Ultimately, Frencheska admitted she is partly to blame for her family’s issues, as she had not focused on them, particularly her brother, over the past four years.

She now aims to strengthen their bond.

Frencheska applies that passion to her work, maintaining that she tries to think and act “out of the box” every time she performs.

Meanwhile, Frencheska denied rumors romantically linking him to singer Gian Magdangal, whom she starred with in a local staging of the popular musical “Grease.”

She stressed they are merely friends. “’Yun lang ’yun,” quipped she, who is happy with her boyfriend of three years, independent filmmaker Gino Jose.
