Michael V. used his little-known skills as an illustrator to pay his respects to the 44 members of the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force who died in Mamasampano, Maguindanao on Sunday.
The comedian posted on Instagram a sketch of a mortally wounded SAF commando lying on the cornfield of Barangay Pidsandawon, viewing pictures of his family on his phone as he bled to his death.
“One of the heartbreaking stories I heard is about a fallen SAF who died viewing his family’s photos on his phone,” Michael V. said in the caption.
“Service. Honor. JUSTICE,” he added, ending his message with three hashtags: “#Salute #Fallen44 TruthforThe Fallen44.”
The post has received over 5,000 likes from the comedian’s followers as of Saturday morning.
