2NE1’s CL leads 2015 TIME 100 Reader’s Poll

K-pop girl group 2NE1’s leader CL is leading the 2015 TIME 100 Reader’s Poll, an online poll that asks readers to choose who they think “have changed the world this past year, for better or worse.”

“While TIME’s editors will choose the TIME 100 — our annual list of the most influential people in the world — we want readers to have a say too,” TIME wrote about the list.

TIME has unveiled the 158 nominees for the readers’ poll which include world leaders, entertainers and sports icons.

At presstime, CL is leading the poll with 11.5 percent followed by Lady Gaga, 4.3 percent; Beyonce, 2.7 percent; Emma Watson, 2.4 percent; Malala Yousafzai, 1.7 percent; Rihanna, 1.7 percent; Taylor Swift, 1.7 percent; and Pope Francis, 1.6 percent.

“One fourth of the wildly popular South Korean girl group 2NE1, Lee Chaeilin (a.k.a. CL) is teaming up with manager Scooter Braun (the mastermind behind Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen) for her upcoming American debut,” TIME said of CL.

TIME said voting will close on April 10 and the winner of the poll will be announced on April 13 while the official TIME 100 list will be unveiled on April 16.

Last year, Indian politician Arvind Kejriwal won the Reader’s Poll.
