While Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo is known to be private on her relationship with Matteo Guidicelli, she seems to be more expressive these days of her love for him.
Following their sweet moments during Matteo’s birthday party last month, Sarah told reporters at the contract signing of her newest endorsement Jag on April 14 that she hopes he would be her last boyfriend.

Recall that reportedly wished during his birthday that Matteo would become the man God planned him to be, whether they end up together or not in the future. In her most recent interview, Sarah clarified her statement, saying she and Matteo don’t know what the future holds for them, but she hopes he is the one.
“Siyempre, bilang kami magkarelasyon, ako I consider him na kahit nagka-relationship na ako in the past, ito yung parang legit, na talagang nahahawakan ko, nayayakap ko. I’m hoping na sana siya na yung huli. Siyempre, nagdadasal pa din tayo na kung ano yung will ng Diyos, iyon pa din,” Sarah said.
It was in June 2014 when Sarah publicly revealed her relationship with Matteo. While she had a relationship prior, Sarah admitted she still has a lot to learn about handling relationships and love.
“Pareho kaming bata pa. Marrying age na ako, pero yung knowledge ko sa pagmamahal at relationship, parang elementary pa lang. Iyon kami pareho, bigayan, intindihan. Merong hindi pagkakaunawaan minsan, pero natututo kami. Sana kung anong mangyari, matututo kami at andoon pa din yung respeto sa isa’t-isa,” she said.
Sarah considers her relationship with Matteo a “big leap.” While known to be very sheltered by her parents Divine and Delfin, Sarah gets to go on dates with Matteo.
“Basta first time na nangyayari sa akin lahat. Nagiging learning process din (ito) sa akin.”
Several netizens expressed happiness for the couple when they were spotted dining out recently.
“At first, parang uncomfortable tayo at uneasy kasi laging nakukunan, pero nasa public ka, hindi talaga naiiwasan. So tanggap ko na iyon,” she said.
On his birthday, Matteo reportedly wished for “acceptance.” Sarah’s mother was said to be absent during the party, which sparked speculations that Sarah’s parents still do not totally approve of their relationship.
“Siyempre we have little challenges here and there. But I respect whatever minds they have, their feelings. I cannot do anything because they’re the people Sarah loves the most. I love them too. I hope everything will be happier in the future kumbaga,” Matteo said in an interview on Bandila.”
Sarah believes that acceptance of loved ones in any relationship is very important.
“Siyempre sa lahat naman ng relationship, gusto natin na maging smooth yung takbo ng flow ng relationship. Mag-overflow yung acceptance at pagmamahalan sa bawat isa, sa bawat mahal mo sa buhay. Kasi hindi ka magiging masaya completely kapag ikaw lang at ang taong iyon. Ako, bilang tao, importante na even people around me are happy for me, sa side din nya doon,” she said.
Matteo has inspired Sarah in many things, including sports. She said his dedication to and determination in triathlon is very inspiring.
“Sobra akong na-a-amaze sa taong iyon. Kahit msdaling araw siya from taping, gumigising siya ng maaga para mag-workout,” she said.
Sarah, a self-confessed jeans-and-shirt type of girl, feels “ecstatic” to endorse Jag.
“Sobra lang akong simple (na tao) so komportable ako na jeans lang, white shirt, flats. Iyon na yung pinaka-style ko. Ecstatic, sobrang excited, happy, proud—nagulat talaga ako (na pinili nila akong endorser),” she said.
Aside from work on “The Voice Kids,” Sarah is gearing for a movie with Piolo Pascual.
“Ibang klase pala na makatrabaho si Piolo Pascual. Akala ko naovcercome ko na yung kilig at pagkamesmerize ko sa kanya. Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Kuya Peej, hndi ka tumatanda.’ Kasi grabeng gwapo talaga. Hindi ako nambobola. Mukha talaga siyang bata,” she said.
