The movie “You’re My Boss” is a milestone for Star Cinema because it teams up for the first time Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga, two of the biggest and most accomplished stars of ABS-CBN today.

As seen in his diverse body of work, which includes a string of toprating primetime shows, several blockbuster movies and high-profile endorsements, Coco is a most talented and respected actor. Toni, on the other hand, is rightfully dubbed the “Ultimate Multi-Media Star,” having had non-stop blockbuster films and also earning fame as singer, recording artist, concert performer and TV host.

“You’re My Boss” is written and megged by Antoinette Jadaone (she directed “That Thing Called Tadhana” which is now among the highest grossing Filipino indie films). The rom-com opens today in cinemas nationwide.

The movie revolves around the amusing predicament of a top-level executive and an assistant who will switch roles in a desperate act to close a huge deal. Their plan may go well but could their hearts keep up with the act they’re playing?

‘INSTADAD’ STAR WANTS TO BE A PILOT

Gabbi Garcia, the young female lead star of GMA Network’s “InstaDAD,” wants to be a pilot. Asked why, the 16-year-old beauty queen said, “Kasi I was exposed to the airline business, my father being a PAL pilot and my mom a stewardess.” She has the full support of her parents in this regard.

Gabbi has a five-year contract with GMA and prior to “InstaDAD,” she appeared on “My Destiny” and “Seasons of Love” with Ruru Madrid. Recall that he was also her love teammate on “Let the Love Begin.”

Gabbi, who is a fourth year high school student at St. Paul College Pasig, plays a boyish, adventurous and athletic character named Marikit on “InstaDAD.” She is one of three daughters of Gabby Eigenmann who plays Chef Kenneth. Playing her two sisters are Ash Ortega as Mayumi, and Jazz Ocampo as Maya.

Directed by Neal del Rosario, “InstaDAD” also stars Matet de Leon, Juancho Trino and Prince Villanueva. The show premieres tomorrow after “Sunday All Stars.”
