Want to know more about electronic music? Perhaps you want to learn how to become a world-class DJ?

Well, fret not, DJ magazine’s five-time top turntablist Armin van Buuren will be in town soon to lead a roster of speakers who will share their ideas about music in Globe Tattoo’s Trend Talks.

Dong Ronquillo, vice president for Tattoo Nomadic Broadband Business, describes the event, to be held on May 30 at the Solaire Resort & Casino, as “an avenue for people to learn something new, learn the evolution of music, learn new trends and also have fun.”

Ronquillo said that van Buuren’s participation makes the event “more interesting.”

Why music as topic? Ronquillo believes that music is a universal language of sorts connecting every person across the globe and that “it exists because of influences from different places and era…”

Also to speak at the event alongside van Buuren, are international turntablists and music experts including Ingo Voglemann and Pav Parrotte; DJ Mars Miranda; concert producer Stepehen Ku; BigFish’s chief operating officer Ricky Daker; and Dominic Primero.

The headliners will also regale the crowd with a special set showcasing their brand of music.

More, the ticket to Trend Talks, valued at R2,500, automatically earns one an entrance pass to van Buuren’s solo concert on the same day.
