Despite the many procedures her daughter, Caleigh, still needs to undergo, Jackie Forster opts to believe her child is already cured of leukemia.

“Medically speaking, she is in remission and she still needs to go to two years of chemotherapy. But when we look at her, when we pray, when we talk about her, she’s cured,” she told “The Buzz.”

Her three-year-old kid, she said, is aware on what she’s going through. At her age, Caleigh shows strength and resiliency in battling the disease and serves as inspiration to others.

“Siya ang nagdadasal para sa amin: ‘Keep us safe, keep us healthy, thank you.’ She’s aware. She only learned the word cancer from her brother. But she doesn’t use it…Ang tawag niya du’n aliens,” Forster said.

She shared, “She’ll wake up…and ask me to open the windows and she’ll tell me to look out and see how beautiful the sun rise is.”

Jackie does not consider her difficulties as karma, saying “My God doesn’t work that way.”

“I just wanted to know why it needed to happen. But if you see the kind of inspiration Caleigh is, what she does – even to the nurses when they are tired, she sings for them,” she added.

Jackie shaved her head recently as show of support to her daughter, whose hair had fallen off.
