Maxene Magalona
Actress Maxene Magalona exudes a positive glow despite ending her 11-month relationship with non-showbiz boyfriend Chino Capuyoc just two months ago.
Maxene admitted in an interview with Bulletin Entertainment during the special screening of “Overtime” that the decision was mutual.
“Kami kasi ni Chino, pareho kaming walang pahinga sa relationship. This time around, siguro sinabi ng Diyos na ‘hindi pa talaga kayo ready to be in a relationship’ that’s why we both decided (to end it),” she shared.
Maxene maintained that there was no third party involved in the split.
The actress also insisted that she harbors no ill feelings towards Chino, insisting that they remain “good friends.”
She even described the split as the “healthiest” she’s been through and that she is “slowly but surely” moving on.
Self first
Maxene is determined to stay single for now. The daughter of late rapper Francis Magalona and wife Pia had, after all, been in several relationships before with JC Tiuseco, Dominic Roco, Neil Arce and Renz Fernandez.
“Before, I didn’t really know who I was and siyempre when I lost my dad parang I was always sad. Feeling ko, I always needed someone to be with para maging masaya,” she explained.
The 27-year-old sees being single as the perfect time to “grow up” and “focus on myself.”
“’Pag ako nagmahal, I’m always giving too much of myself without loving myself first. So, this time, self first…”
Maxene expects bashers will have a lot to say about her being single anew. Her message to them is: “It’s my life. And I appreciate the haters because you guys make me stronger. It’s your opinion, it’s fine with me. I just want to say it’s my life and I’m doing it my own way, my own pace, and I’m learning…”
