Backroom, Inc. recently wrapped up a blessed and meaningful 2014 with its traditional Christmas party. The joyous occasion is when they take a pause from work simply to give thanks to the Almighty for all the blessings they’ve received for the year.

The party began with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Allan Samonte. It was followed by a sumptuous dinner. After, exciting parlor games were played, with Backroom staff, artists, and guests participating.
Among highlights was the videoke singing competition where Junnel Manansala, Backroom artist and NYOBG member, placed first with his rendition of “Let Me Be the One.” Jamie Almario who sang “You,” placed second while Philip Rojas who sang “Bituing Walang Ningning” placed third.
As part of the annual tradition, Backroom raffled exciting prizes. They also had a simple exchange of gifts.
The Christmas party also marked the continuation of celebrations for the company’s 25th anniversary via a video presentation.
Backroom, Inc. is optimistic of a brighter 2015.

Held at Valkyrie in The Fort, the first first winners of Spinnr Hitlist Awards are: Spinnr Song of the year: “All of Me” by John Legend; Spinnr Album Of The Year: “Big Hero 6 OST;” Spinnr Best Indie Artist of 2014: Julie Ann San Jose; Spinnr OPM Artist of 2014: Nikki Gil (“Babalikan Mo Rin Ako”); and Spinnr Artist of the Year 2014: Taylor Swift.
“We can no longer deny that the digital music business has a big say on naming which song qualifies as a hit. With the Spinnr Hitlist Awards, we are pushing more boundaries for hit music contributions, local or foreign, through digital downloads, which is the Smart Life, a tangible concretization of our Live More campaigns,” said Lucille Tang, Spinnr’s product manager.
