Zsa Zsa Padilla spends birthday with family (Instagram)

Zsa Zsa Padilla turned 50 on May 28 and the singer-actress marked the milestone by expressing gratitude to family, friends and the “past” and “present” men in her life.

Part of her post on Instagram on Wednesday read:

“To my past love, you shall be forever in my heart. I love you endlessly. Not a day goes by that I don’t remember you. I pray that you are in a happy place with Jesus,” she wrote.

Padilla then added:

“To my present love, I pray that this too, shall last a lifetime. Thank you for teaching me to love again! And for filling my heart with joy and putting the smile back on my face. You inspire me to do greater things!”

Earlier, the late comedian Dolphy’s partner of some 23 years shared on Instagram a photo collage of her birthday celebration, which she pent together with current boyfriend, Conrad Onglao, her children Karylle Tatlonghari and Zia Quizon, and their respective partners.

“Golden Girl at last! Blessed to be with family and loved ones tonight,” her caption read.

Last Sunday, Padilla was feted an early birthday celebration on “ASAP 19,” which Onglao also attended. Padilla shared with the show’s audience how Onglao brought back her smile.

Padilla first made her relationship with Onglao public last April. Some criticized her for supposedly falling in love so quickly after Dolphy’s passing some two years ago.

She shrugged this off, telling ABS-CBN News on Sunday, “Sabi nga nila isang taon ang pagluluksa. Ayun, hindi mo naman masasabi. Meron akong kaibigan dati, nawalan siya ng boyfriend. Sabi niya ‘Na-meet ko ’yung naging asawa ko wala pang isang taon.’ So hindi mo masasabi ’yun (kung kailan).”

The Divine Diva related that she decided to start dating date again because she is already tired of mourning. She insisted, however, that falling for Onglao was not part of the plan.

“Kapag talagang may dumating na sa palagay mo siya na ’yun… saka hindi na tayo bagets,” she explained. “Sobrang saya. Talagang napaka-blessed ko na dumating si Architect Conrad sa buhay ko kasi before that, mahirap talaga.”

Padilla shared that she prayed for a man “who will love my children as much as I love them.”

She added, “Tanggap siya (ng mga anak ko) and ang gusto ko talaga sa kanya, he’s big on family and he makes it a point din na mahalin ang mga anak ko.”
