Derek Ramsay finds it cool that his girlfriend actress Cristine Reyes is still friends with her exes, including Rayver Cruz and Dennis Trillo.

“For me kasi it means that they’d retained their respect for each other and that’s a good thing,” he told Bulletin Entertainment.

It also helps that he and Reyes are quite open about it.

“Yeah we talk about it, she tells me, there’s no problem,” he said.

Ramsay insists that his relationship with Reyes is quite “healthy” as it is built on “friendship” and “trust.”

“We’ve been friends… our foundation is built on friendship and that’s quite good, I think, ’cause the level of trust is really up there,” he said, motioning with his hand above his head.

It is as such that Ramsay sees no problem juggling his love life with work.

“There’s no fuss…the kind of understanding we have helps me keep my focus with my work as it also helps her keep her focus on her work,” he related.

The actor-model is currently busy shooting “For Love Or Money” for TV5 and “My Trophy Wife” for Viva.

He is also busy endorsing the latest from Dunkin’ Donuts, which launched several new donut variants and a fun new twist to their packaging.

“The box allows for this thing called ‘augmented reality,’ which, basically makes still images move,” explained Ramsay.

“Fans only need to download the Zappar app (available both via iTunes and Play Store) that comes with a camera, point it towards my image on the box and just like that, you will see me come ‘alive’ on your device,” he added. “it’s sort of like taking me home with you.”

As an added treat, Dunkin’ Donuts has launched a contest that will allow fans the rare treat to spend a day with Ramsay. Fans will just have to buy a dozen Dunkin’ Donuts between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 and they will be given two types of posters featuring Ramsay.

“What they need to do is take their picture of themselves with the poster, submit it via Dunkin’ Donuts Philippines fan page on Facebook and the most creative (entry) wins a day with me,” said Ramsay.

And will the fans have a say on how they will spend the day together?

“Oh, definitely,” said Ramsay. “I’m willing to accommodate requests… we could go shopping, play Frisbee, watch a movie, go to a club… anything.”

However, male fans that are thinking this might be the opportunity for them to spend a day with Ramsay’s girlfriend as well should think again.

“Kaya nga ‘A Day With Derek’ ‘yung title eh, siyempre wala siya duon,” said Ramsay laughing. “The main thing is, I want to give the winner my full attention.”
