With the public wanting something new all the time, many celebrities feel it’s an uphill battle to keep a romantic relationship going once it has been revealed. It is said that after seeing a union of their favorite stars, some people get bored with it and await the separation as if it’s the next, inevitable step for such high-profile affairs.
Marian Rivera’s romance with long-time boyfriend Dingdong Dantes, however, is horse of a different color. Asked how they’ve managed to make the relationship last, Marian cited love, trust and respect as among their secrets. Apparently, these are the same things that make them jive or “swak na swak.”
She lauds Dingdong for his unending support. Among all her achievements, she considers him one of her greatest “panalo moment(s).”
“Si Dingdong nandiyan para i-guide ako, para mahalin ang totoong Marian Rivera,” she said.
They are head over heels in love with each other but wedding bells must stay silent for now. Apparently, the 29-yer-old actress chooses to make hay while the sun shines. Among future projects are a soap and a sitcom on GMA-7.
Marian also co-produced “Kung Fu Divas” co-starring Ai Ai delas Alas, a hat she probably will wear again if the venture is embraced by her public.
“Mukhang hindi ako madadalang gumawa (ng bagong pelikula). Siyempre, depende (pa din) sa response ng tao. Kung ano ang magiging outcome ng “Kung Fu Divas,” kung magiging maganda siguro, baka mag-part two kami,” she said.
There are plans to screen “Kung Fu Divas” in other countries, specifically Cambodia.
The actress recently renewed her contract as Talk ‘N Text ambassador. The company is holding simultaneous screenings of “Kung Fu Divas” in six cinemas as a reward to their loyal subscribers.
While Marian makes hay, marriage stays on backburner
