It’s the busiest time of the year for Kuh Ledesma, Martin Nievera, Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby what with Christmas just around the corner. Still, they aim to prioritize helping the victims of super typhoon Yolanda both in their capacity as celebrities and as private individuals moved by tragedy.
In an interview with Bulletin Entertainment at the press conference tendered by Ayala Malls for their activities in the coming weeks, Piolo revealed that he and his family have sent a donation to the Visayas. He also participated in ABS-CBN’s telephone marathon recently in order to raise funds for the cause.
“And then there’s prayer,” he said meaningfully.
This month, Piolo will have shows along with other stars at Glorietta Activity Center and Trinoma where booths are set-up to accept donations from the public.

Meanwhile, Kuh is in the thick of helping to organize a benefit concert.
“Ang artista naman is very sensitive to times like these. We are all willing to help as long as the money ay makararating sa mga tao,” she said.
The singer-actress is also mounting an art exhibit and part of the proceeds will go to a certain group of artists. Producing a “healing” movie is also on the plate for the diva.
Concert King Martin reminds his colleagues to set aside rivalry at this point.
“They have to put down their guards. Whether Kapamilya, Kapatid or Kapuso, we should all come together and (do our part) more than once. This kind of thing… we need lots of donations and fundraisers.
“And sana everyday of our lives, calamity or not, we remember to share our blessings.”
Through it all, he believes that how we respond to the situation will remind us of our strength as a nation.

“We Filipinos are survivors, optimistic and we stand beside each other. Let this be about Filipino resiliency,” he stressed.
Sam is thankful that work affords him the opportunity to reach out to the needy and influence the generation of generosity.
“Through the shows na gagawin namin dito sa Ayala, we won’t just entertain people but encourage them to help in any way they can. And for those who have been through so much, hopefully, we can give them joy kahit papaano.”
The highlight of the event at the Ayala Malls is the “Stars of Joy concert” series. This will be staged at the Abreeza Mall Activity Center on Nov. 15; Marquee Mall Park on Nov. 23; Trinoma Activity Center on Nov. 24; Ayala Center Cebu Activity Center on Nov. 30; Alabang Town Center’s Corte on Dec. 7; Market Market! Activity Center on Dec. 8; and Centrio Mall in Cagayan De Oro on Dec. 15.
“Pepe’s Secret Christmas” is a contemporary display of Ballet Theater at Harbor Point, Subic on Nov. 23; Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro on Nov. 30; the Abreeza Mall, Davao on Dec. 7; and Marquee Mall, Pampanga on Dec. 14.

“A Thousand Encounters” is a photo competition and photomap exhibit inspired from a concept by Jaime Zobel de Ayala. Open to all Glorietta Christmas shoppers from Nov. 14 to 17, the contest will be awarding the Solo Creative Photo, Couple Creative Photo (for 2 participants), and the Group Creative Photo (for 3-6 participants) at their best.
Finally, “KISAME,” an exhibition of photographs of ceiling paintings of Bohol’s colonial churches on Nov. 11 and14 at the Fashion Walk in Greenbelt 5. Recall that Bohol was struck by devastating earthquake mere weeks prior to the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda.
