Wonder Girls member Sunye is now a mom.
Sunye announced on Twitter today that she gave birth to a baby girl at home.
“With the prayers of many people, I was able to give birth to a beautiful daughter within eight hours through home birth. I’m very, very thankful for all the congratulation presents for her birth…!! I will raise her healthily,” she tweeted, according to ENewsWorld.
Together with the message are photos of her baby.
Her husband, Korean-Canadian James Park, also proudly announced on Twitter the birth of the baby, which will be named Hailey.
“I’m a dad!! And I feel like a King cuz I KNOW she’s a princess!!!! Praise The Lord!” he tweeted.
Yesterday, Park tweeted that they were waiting for the birth of their first baby.
“We’re all ready for you now, Kiddo! Welcome anytime now,” he wrote.
JYP Entertainment, the Wonder Girls’ agency, tweeted, “Congratulations on the birth of her new baby! @WGsun.”
2AM’s Jo Kwon also congratulated Sunye.
Sunye and Park got married last Jan. 26 in Seoul. Last April, she announced that she in her third month of pregnancy.
With her marriage, Sunye has temporarily left the Wonder Girls to focus on her life as a wife.
Other members of the Wonder Girls are focusing on their individual activities.
The Wonder Girls debuted in the K-pop scene in 2007.
