Vhong Navarro is dismayed over young talents who don’t recognize their seniors.
“Kasi galing ako diyan sa pinanggalingan niyo. Kaya sana marunong kang rumespeto du’n sa mga nakakatanda. Hindi porke sikat kayo ngayon… hanggang kailan kayo sikat?” the 36-year-old Vhong said during a set visit to “Toda Max.”
Without dropping names, he said that he is saddened by how these newbies behave around veteran actors.
“Nakakalungkot sa mga baguhan kasi (kung) umasta sila, para silang sobrang layo…”
Vhong understands what these newbies are going through, relating his “butas ng karayom” experience in getting to where he is now.
“Naging talent ako, tapos nag-audition ako. Sumakay ako ng tricycle, nag-jeep ako, nag-bus ako. Pinag-antay ako ng matagal sa mga eksena, sa set. Nagtrabaho ako ng more than 24 hours. Lahat iyon, dinanas ko,” the “It’s Showtime” host recounted.
He expects other artists to persevere as much at work and to learn the ropes of their craft.
“Talagang ‘pag may tiyaga, may maganda kang pupuntahan. Huwag tayong nagmamadali, ‘pag nagmamadali tayo, puwede tayong maaksidente o hindi natin mapuntahan ‘yung gusto natin,” Vhong cautioned.
Meanwhile, Vhong talked about Robin Padilla and Pokwang leaving “Toda Max” to concentrate on a movie and a teleserye, respectively
“Nag-text lang siya (Robin) na hindi muna siya makakabalik kasi nga meron siyang priority at sana maintindihan namin,” he related.
Ai Ai delas Alas is a new addition to the hit Kapamilya sitcom.
