Ai Ai delas Alas
Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas has committed herself to devotional and religious works while mending a broken heart.
For the fifth year, Ai Ai sponsored a mass in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Ayala Heights clubhouse on Sept. 8.
“(Sa) ministry ko…dito ako nilaan ni Mama Mary. Marami akong plano (para sa mga) babae na naging kagaya ko, sa mga bata,” the 48-year-old told “TV Patrol” of the Eucharistic celebration.
Recall that on May 19, Ai Ai broke down on “The Buzz,” accusing her estranged husband, businessman Jed Salang of physical abuse and also confirming their separation.
She pointed out those women “(na may) kailangan talaga ng tulong,” especially those “(na) wala namang pera.”
The actress continued that there is always a chance “(na) maituwid ’yung landas nila.”
Ai Ai also prayed for her children who are in the US, particularly Nicolo, who recently had lung ailment.
She added, “Through the intercession of Mama Mary, lahat ng mga hinihiling ko okay Papa Jesus hinihiling naman niya.
“Siya lang naman ang makaka-heal sa ’kin.”
Four months after her highly publicized conjugal feud, Ai Ai seemed frightened by the idea of finding new love.
“No! Hindi, hindi! Ano ba ’yan!” she ended laughing.
