‘Cosmo U:’ The wildest University

The World Trade Center in Pasay City was transformed into a “Cosmo University” on Tuesday complete with skimpily clad men as hunky professors, athletes, sexy nerds and randy rebels. Far from being an orderly institution, however, it seems rules do not apply; and the mission statement: “Let’s get wild!”

After the long lines at the regular admission, the nonstop parade of people (mostly ladies and ladies at heart) in their best attire: sexy dress, scanty shorts, tight pants, miniskirts, above 3 inches stilettos and men in their sleek fashion; and after the unlimited photo sessions with models (some topless) in various booths, the show finally starts.

Kicking off with a rocking performance by Spongecola and Callalily – with the latter band’s Kean Cipriano doing a hyper-mode strut down the runway and owning it – the first set of men that came out appeared wholesome in their suits and nerdy glasses. Cheers welcomed them and cameras of all kind captured the moment, but it was when the strip-down started that the real party began.

Calling to mind a college frat party, the venue even featured a kissing booth wherein ladies get a kiss from a guy they choose for every bottle of mixed drink they buy. There was also a neophyte’s initiation act in which bare-chested blindfolded boys in shorts did some sexy dancing, and a bunch of dudes clad only in thongs came out for an onstage “oblation run.”

The highlight of this year’s festivities was the introduction of 10 Cosmopolitan cover boys. Here are the standout moments:

Minions love banana…

So do women in the crowd, apparently. Rayver Cruz stunned the audience when he peeled a banana onstage, but they quickly forgot their shock when he gave some ladies upfront a bite.

A fix of six

The girls and gays near the stage also had their fill of touching JC de Vera’s six-pack abs, thanks to the generous time he spent stopping on the side of the runway.

A moment of lab

Who knew Alden Richards was so loving? Appearing on stage in a lab coat, which he soon discarded, he stripped down to boxer shorts, picked a lucky girl from the audience, hugged her with his oil-lathered body and gave her a kiss!

Man up!

It seems surprising that a gay couple on TV would get the loudest shrieks of the night from the ladies, but that’s what happened when Eric and Vincent (okay, Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo) came out. The two shared the runway, to the audience’s delight, but not before Dennis fired his water gun into the crowd during his solo ramp. How’s that for wet and wild?
