Enchong Dee has been receiving praises from his “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” co-stars for his much improved acting ability as seen on the hit TV series.
Christopher de Leon thinks Dee has his own style that makes him a stand out. Julia Montes lauds Dee on how he has improved from the last series they worked on. Enrique Gil finds Dee’s “focus” quite inspiring.
Dee acknowledges the kudos, admitting that works hard grow in his craft. The 24-year-old said he takes his cue from Eugene Domingo who believes actors should be versatile and have a lot to offer, like a “buffet.”
This is among reasons he accepted the role of Leonel despite that the character seems to be the third wheel in the love story of Francis (Gil) and Sarah (Montes).
Dee admits though that doing the heavy drama has taken a toll on him both emotionally and physically. He is taking a few days off from TV work after the series ends on Oct. 4.
“Bakasyon kami ng family ko… Beijing, China at Mongolia,” he said.
Isn’t he afraid that it might affect his momentum?
“Hindi naman siguro kasi as soon as I get back simula na din agad kasi ‘yung pelikula namin sa Star Cinema and Skyline.”
Dee is adamant on not taking on a TV project anytime soon.
With the series ending, Dee admits that he is going to miss bonding with his co-stars.
“Hindi lang naman siguro ako. I think hahanap-hanapin namin lahat kasi nagbond kami talaga sobra. Para na kaming pamilya talaga.”
And how about Montes whom he admitted to have been enamored with? The two had a falling out supposedly when actor Coco Martin entered the picture.
“Ah, siyempre. Oo naman. Inamin ko naman na dati na isa sa mga reasons why I accepted this project is to have the chance na magkaayos kami and thankful ako na ‘yun nga ang nangyari.”
Asked if he is aiming to try and woo Montes again, Dee was non-committal.
“Bibihira ‘yung ganitong reconciliation so might as well take care of it,” he said.
