He won’t hurry love; in fact, Enrique Gil has noted that getting into a relationship now might just affect his focus.
Instead, he says he would rather concentrate on work, especially with his ABS-CBN series “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” – wherein he co-stars with Julia Montes and Enchong Dee – about to end its run.
Still, Gil is not blind to the charms of the ladies in his home network. The heartthrob has cited Montes along with Anne Curtis among his showbiz crushes. He has also recently heaped praises on actress Liza Soberano.
“Siya ’yung tipong she’s so innocent, na ’yung tipong you see kung ano siya, ganun lang talaga siya. Hindi siya plastic, you know that she’s not hiding anything,” he told ABS CBN News.
It is not surprising, then, that this has spurned rumors that Gil had gone back on his word, inasmuch as he was supposed to have been espied making the moves on Soberano at the recently concluded Star Magic Ball – this, even with Montes supposedly his date for the night.
Gil was quick to refute the notion, however.
“Friends lang kami ni Liza kasi pareho kami ng handler, ” said he in an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday.
As to the Star Magic Ball incident, Gil explained, “Sabi kasi ni Julia aakyat na siya, so sumama na lang ako sa handler ko. Eh wala ring kasama si Liza so sumama rin.”
