Former PA charges Claudine with theft

Claudine Barretto’s woes continue with a former personal assistant (PA) accusing her of theft.

19-year-old Dessa Cadelario filed her complaint against the actress at the Office of the City Prosecutor of Marikina on Sept. 11.

Citing Patilan’s affidavit, PEP reported on Tuesday that the former PA is accusing Barretto of supposedly taking several personal items from her, this, including, allegedly, her wallet, which contained her salary amounting to P10,700; an electronic tablet, which costs P3,000; a memory card worth P500; a phone sim card worth P50 and a teddy bear, which was supposedly given as a gift to Patilan by Barretto’s child, Sabina.

Apparently, the case stemmed from an incident that occurred in May, when Barretto herself accused Patilan of stealing from her.

At the time, Barretto charged Patilan of taking from her a watch worth P1.8 million, and some jewelry amounting to P8.5 million.

Patilan is demanding from Barretto over P100,000 in damages plus cost of legal services.

The actress has yet to comment on the issue.

Patilan’s allegation comes amid Barretto’s legal battle with estranged husband Raymart Santiago, whom she hauled to court supposedly due to “physical, sexual, psychological and economic” abuse.
