Judy Ann Santos gives herself a grade of seven out of 10 as mother to her kids Yohan and Lucio.
She would’ve wanted it to be higher save that she is a working mom which means being away from home more times than most homemakers.
Alam niyo ‘yung mga moment na you want to try to be awake pero hindi mo magawa kasi nga ubos na ubos ka na,” she said in a press interview for her game show “Bet On Your Baby.”
The actress admits feeling guilty whenever her kids get sick and she can’t get to them right away because she’s at work. Still, she tries to make her kids feel her presence somehow and to make up for it when she can.
Indeed, Juday and her husband Ryan Agoncillo work together on managing their respective schedules so one of them covers for the other whenever both of them can’t be there. One such arrangement is that Juday prepares the kids for school in the morning, while Ryan makes it a point to go home after his noontime show “Eat Bulaga!”
For Juday, being a mother is the most fulfilling and rewarding job. She wants to have more kids albeit “nakakabaliw talaga at nakakalokang maging ina.
When it comes to disciplining her children, Juday says the method of correction depends on the gravity of the situation.
“We can’t say kasi na hindi kami puwedeng mamalo ng bata o puwedeng hindi kami mag-scold ng bata.
“It really depend kung ano ‘yung sitwasyon. Kasi paano kung nanapok na? Hindi mo pa papagalitan? ‘Di ba? Paano kung nangupit na? Hindi mo pa ba papagalitan?” she explained.
According to a release, the game show “Bet On Your Baby” is designed for families with children aged two to three and a half years old. Through a series of games, it aims to prove the importance of having a strong bond between parents and their kids.
“‘Bet On Your Baby’ is here to help parents enjoy their kids more. Being a parent, I learned that when it comes to your children, you don’t want to miss any moment. It’s important to be beside them in whatever they go through. I think when you come to that point, it’s true that you become selfless. It’s true that you smile without reason. All of a sudden, there’s so much more value in your being alive,” the actress was quoted to have said.
“Bet On Your Baby” is set to air on ABS-CBN in October.
