Jake Cuenca brushes off supposed altercation with Sam Milby

Jake Cuenca insists there is no bad blood between him and Actor Sam Milby despite their rivalry in winning Jessy Mendiola’s heart.

“No, wala kaming alitan… Sam is really my friend,” Jake told “The Buzz.”

The actor said they have different styles of courting.

“No offense meant to Sam… but iba lang talaga ako manligaw. When it comes to my personal life or if I wanna court someone, I want to keep that to myself,” said he.

While Sam is vocal in wooing Jessy, Jake remains private about courting the actress.

“I want to build a world na kaming dalawa lang nung nililigawan ko o ng girlfriend ko (kasi) sa ganung paraan, mas masaya ako eh,” Jake explained.

Asked if he sees working with Jessy an edge to win her heart, the “Maria Mercedes” leading man exclaimed, “Hindi ko naman pinagsasamantalahan ‘yun (na madalas kaming magkasama sa taping).

“Usually sobrang confident ko bilang lalaki pero pagdating kay Jessy ung confidence ko bumababa, natotorpe ako,” he admitted.

Past relationship

Jake clarified his supposed statement on “trying to fix things” with ex-girlfriend Melissa Ricks.

“Wala naman akong sinabi talaga na may aayusin ako, although for me kung meron man kaming aayusin, mas magandang kaming dalawa lang ang magusap para maayos.”

Recall that in addressing Jake’s supposed message, Melissa said in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, “Kasi ako, if you’re going to say something, you better just say it truthfully. Hindi ’yung magsasabi ka lang para maganda ka tingnan ng tao, or so you seem like a better person. If you are doing something, you don’t have to tell other people or tell the whole world before you do it.”

The 25-year-old actor said they have yet to talk following their breakup in 2011.

“Never pa kaming nagusap ng privately, nang kaming dalawa lang… I think kung meron man ding makakapagayos ng kung ano man ang problema namin, oras lang. Time heals all wounds,” Jake said.
