James Yap has only good words to say about his son James “Bimby” Yap, Jr.’s eventually delving into show business.
“Hindi lang (dahil sa) tatay, siyempre, proud ’no?” James told “TV Patrol” in a recent press conference.
Bimby, his son with ex-wife Kris Aquino, is co-starring with child star Ryzza Mae Dizon in their big screen debut, the comedy film “Torky and My Little Bossing,” an official entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
The 31-year-old PBA cager is aware that “Kumbaga, once na pumasok ka sa ganun, pag meron kang haters, mga bad comments – basta nandito lang ako lagi para sa anak ko.”
Love From Italy
Meanwhile, James’ relationship with his non-showbiz Italian girlfriend is smooth-sailing.
“Masaya ’ko na tapos na lahat ng problema, sana wala nang mangyari, and then, pagdating sa mga ganung bagay, love life, ’di ba, happy tayo,” he related.
Plans of marriage, or a new family perhaps?
“Hintay tayo diyan. Relax, relax lang.”
