Filipino filmmaker Mikhail Red’s “Rekorder” will compete in the Asian Future section of the 26th Tokyo International Film Festival, set in Japan from October 17 to 25. The Asian Future section “showcases outstanding works by young directors who have directed no more than two feature films.” A Cinemalaya entry, “Rekorder” is the full-length feature debut of the 21-year-old filmmaker. Asian Future was previously known as Winds of Asia-Middle East. Bayani San Diego Jr.
