Singer Tony Bennett arrives on private jet for first ever Manila concert

Legendary Italian-American crooner Tony Bennett, 87, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport general aviation area on Monday on board a private jet. He was welcomed at the airport hangar by Ovation Productions’ Renen and Celina de Guia, organizers of his first ever concert in Manila.

The 17-time Grammy winner, who popularized standards like “I Left My Heart in San Francisco”, “Smile”. “Because of You” and “Rags to Riches” will perform at the PICC Plenary Hall on Tuesday night.


In a brief interview with newsmen, Bennett said that the secret to his longevity are his self-discipline and healthy lifestyle. He boasted that he can still outperform many younger artists even at his age.
