Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin finally addressed the issue of her breakup with Azkals player Phil Younghusband.

Denying she was interviewed by a showbiz writer about her split up with Phil, Angel, on her Twitter account 143redangel, posted her “official statement.”

“Sa mga naglalabasang balita kung saan na-quote po na nag pa-interview ako, hindi po ito totoo,” she asserted. “Wala pa po akong nakakausap about the issue dahil sa totoo lang po hindi ko pa ho kayang kumausap ng kahit sino sa press at nag si-sink in pa lang po samin ngayon ang lahat ng ito. Pasensya na po.”

She revealed that after the break-up, she only had talk with two personalities, “Si Manay Ethel na manager ko at si Darla (Sauler) na sinagot ko lang po ang text sa akin dahil naramdaman ko ang sincerity niya although hindi po ako directly nagsalita about sa amin ni Phil.”

Darla is the head writer of Kris Aquino’s talk show “Kris TV” and writer of other ABS-CBN shows, including “Buzz Ng Bayan.”

The actress stressed that her conversation with Darla was “off the record.”

Putting things on record, she confirmed the split as such: “Sa lahat po ng nagtatanong kung totoo bang hiwalay na kami ni Phil, Totoo po,” but begged off from revealing what caused the breakup.

“Sana po maintindihan nyo kung hindi na po namin sasabihin ang dahilan,” she said and she pointed out that it’s something they mutually agreed upon.

“Maayos po kaming naghiwalay at mutual decision po ito. Pasensya na po kung hindi po kami makasagot agad tungkol sa status ng aming relasyon. Lalong-lalo na po sa mga sumuporta sa aming dalawa. Hindi po namin kayo binalewala… mahirap lang po talaga kung nasa ganitong sitwasyon,” she posted.

Reportedly, Angel and Phil have been separated for three weeks already. The rumored breakup surfaced just this year, but at that time it was a surprise to Angel.

“Nagulat na lang kami na naunahan na kami ng balita bago pa man kami makapagusap uli,” she noted.

Nevertheless, she’s grateful to her fans that supported her relationship with the popular football player.

“Salamat po sa lahat ng sumubaybay at sumuporta sa journey namin ni Phil lalo na ho dito sa twitter. Hinding-hindi po namin malilimutan.”

Just a few months back, Phil was still professing how much she loves Angel and said that she’s the one he would want to marry.

“Yeah, I’m really in love. I am really happy at the moment. I’m really excited about mine and Angel’s future. Angel’s definitely the one. She’s the one,” Phil said in an interview.

“Yeah, I think I’m close to being ready. It’s gonna be spontaneous and you’ll hear about it soon,” he was quoted as saying.

The couple’s romance started when Phil invited Angel on a Valentine’s date through Twitter in February 2011.

Phil and Angel became officially a couple on May 27, 2012.
