Filipina actress Bela Padilla has landed a role on top-rating Singaporean television series “Point of Entry,” an English-language police drama.

Playing a Filipina character on the show, Padilla teams up with former “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Law & Order” star Jack Yang, according to a report on “Unang Hirit,” Wednesday.

The series, which premiered in 2010, is topbilled by Singaporean stars Carl Ng, Pamelyn Chee, Devarajan Varadarajan, Fadhilah Samsudin, Bernard Tan, Jourdan Lee, Constance Song and Melody Chen.

According to the website of series producer MediaCorp, “‘Point of Entry’ is an action drama about an elite team of ICA special agents, and their fight to keep Singapore’s borders safe from smuggling and illegal immigration by land, sea and air.”

Padilla has started to film her scenes in the Philippines and will soon fly to Singapore for other sequences.

She says she has learned a lot from the Singaporean production team and enjoys filming with people of other cultures.

“Meron akong mga bagong natutunan sa kanila tapos feeling ko meron din natututunan sila sa amin (na mga Pilipino). Kasi may mga staff din na Filipina,” she said in a taped interview aired on “Unang Hirit.”

The actress added, “Sa taping naman namin, makulit, masaya siguro kasi lahat magkakakilala na, parang ganon.”

Prior to Padilla, Karylle – who also played a role in another Singaporean series, “The Kitchen Musical” – had likewise appeared on “Point of Entry” last year. She played the girlfriend of a criminal, Miguel Rodriguez, played by Filipino actor Simon Ibarra.

Mica Muñoz, commonly known as Mang Joma in “Be Careful With My Heart,” had also landed a guest role in the series.
