TV host Amy Perez has addressed speculations on her exit from TV5.
“Just to be clear sa mga nangyari, never kong sinabi sa management na magtanggal ng tao sa ‘Face To Face,’” Amy clarified in an exclusive interview with PEP, via direct messaging (DM) on Twitter.
The 44-year-old tenured TV and radio host was embroiled in controversy recently after her sudden resignation from the Kapatid network, which allegedly stemmed from a conflict with the production staff of her reality talk show that occurred upon her return from her maternity leave.
Amy claimed, “What happened really ay gusto nila mag-taping ng four episodes a day, at sinabi ko lang naman na ’di ko pa kaya since kakapanganak ko pa lang at first time ko na-CS (caesarean).
“After nun, nagparinig na sa FB (Facebook),” referring to a someone whom she did not name.
“Ano naman ang laban ko dun? Kaya nag-resign na lang ako kasi ’di ko na kaya ang ganung betrayal,” Amy continued.
She reiterated to have “never asked the management. Kasi, ako na nga nagparaya. ’Di ba, lahat sila may work now?”
Amy pointed out choosing “peace of mind” instead of “kumita ako.”
“At the end of the day, alam mo yung ’pag ’di ka na masaya, talagang mas pipiliin mo ang peace of mind kesa financial gain. Kaya ako na lang umiwas para na rin happy lahat,” she said.
The 44-year-old mother of three added that she’s saddened by everything that happened “kasi puwedeng naging maganda ang ending, alam mo ’yun?”
Meanwhile, Amy also disclosed of her comeback project with ABS-CBN. She is set to host the returning karaoke game show “The Singing Bee” (previously presented by Cesar Montano), which will also reunite her with good friend and longtime hosting partner Roderick Paulate.
