Another word war of sorts is developing between the camps of estranged couple James Yap and Kris Aquino, with their lawyers having fired several salvos already.
It seemed to have started Oct. 4 following the appearance of Yap’s lawyer Lorna Kapunan on “Good Morning Club,” during which she issued a statement pertaining to Aquino supposedly not following the court order allowing her client to visit and spend time with his son James Yap Jr.
“It’s very sad, but it’s very true,” she claimed, adding, “Ginawa ngang easy for the son, ‘no… for both parties and the son to see the father. Eh, hanggang ngayon, hindi pa rin sinusunod…”
“Ito ay with the court order. Ito ay with the studies of the psychologist. This is also with the recommendation of the social worker. And with the agreement of both parties and the little boy himself. And kapag sinasabi nating rule of law, eh, sana naman nobody is above the law.”
Kapunan went on to hint that they might just decide to lodge a complaint relating to the same. “We are thinking about it,” she said. “Kasi ‘pag ganyan, ‘pag contempt, separate case ‘yan.”
She appealed to the Queen of All Media saying, “Sana sundin naman niya ang visitation order kasi napag-agree na ‘yun eh.”
Aquino’s lawyer, Sigfried Fortun, quickly disputed Kapunan’s claim.
In a message sent to News5, Fortun put the blame on Yap for supposedly not communicating properly with his client regarding his visitation plans.
“Kris has been waiting for James to tell her what time he is fetching their son. She has received no messages from James to this effect,” he said.
Fortun also reiterated that his client is more than ready and willing to submit to the court order saying that Aquino “has no intention of violating those or depriving James of his right to be with his son.”
Fortun suggested that Yap could simply go and “fetch Bimby in his residence.”
