Aware of the mass destruction to lives and properties in Samar and Tacloban, Leyte, Kapatid star Sharon Cuneta has donated P10 million pesos to help victims of super typhoon Yolanda.

Sharon posted this message on her @sharon_cuneta12 Twitter account, “@AboitizFDN please expect a check of PHP 5 million from me tomorrow. The other PHP 5 million plus, please expect tomorrow as well, @alagangkapatid. This is how much I believe in you both. God bless VISAYAS. #BangonVisayas.”

The singer-actress explained why she chose to channel her donations to the two foundations.

“I just want to let you all know that you can trust the aboitiz foundation and the alagang kapatid foundation of TV5. Sigurado pong makakaabot sa mga nangangailan sa Visayas ang inyong donasyon! Thank you.”

Sharon reiterated that she loves the Visayas dearly.

“Mahal na mahal ko kayo, Visayas. God knows how much. May God bless you and keep you safe from hereon.”

She thanked those who joined and watched the Alagang Kapatid telethon on TV 5.

“MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU, MGA KAPATID!”

Sharon, through her “The Mega and the Songwriter” show mounted a live telethon Nov. 10 at the Mandaluyong studio of TV 5.

Very active on social network, Sharon retweeted some of her followers’ messages on Twitter, hoping to be of help to distraught members of families who have relatives in the Visayas.

At one point, she even apologized to her followers “if I am flooding your timelines w/ my messages & retweets. If you can, kindly help retweet those tweets too. God bless you.”
