Kylie Padilla and Geoff Eigenmann

Actor Geoff Eigenmann, 28, said that from 210 lbs. he is now 170 lbs. in weight. He won the battle of the bulges by training in mixed martial arts at the Ultimate Fitness gym for three months. And a bonus to his leaner body is the leading man role on GMA-7’s newest fantaserye titled “Adarna,” which premieres on November 18. His leading lady Kylie Padilla is also a fitness enthusiast.

“It’s great to be back. I’m happy to be working again,” said Geoff.

He added that he was the last to be cast in “Adarna.” The “Adarna” cast already had their story conference when he found out about his participation, just a week before his taping began.

It’s his first time to work with Kylie. “We have good chemistry. I guess management saw something in us that’s why we were paired,” he said.

Asked what prompted him to lose weight, Geoff replied that he had so much time in his hand because he wasn’t working then. He also came from a US vacation which he said he “enjoyed so much.”

“When I got that memo na kailangan kong magpapayat in three months, I started to go back to the gym. Bumalik lang ako sa mga ginagawa ko dati like sa sports, and I tried something else like MMA,” explained Geoff, whose role on “Adarna” is a popular basketball player, a character he can relate to in terms of fitness.

Geoff is proud that he is inspiring fans to also live a healthy lifestyle.

“Adarna” is under the direction of Ricky Davao. Also in the cast are Benjamin Alves, Mikael Daez, Michelle Madrigal, Ryza Cenon, Saab Magalona, Arkin Magalona, Chynna Ortaleza, Jean Garcia, Jestoni Alarcon, Maureen Larrazabal and Dante Rivero.

Anna Dizon Is Back

Recording artist Anna Dizon is back after a hiatus of two years during which time she pursued other goals especially as an entrepreneur. But now she is ready to claim her spot in the recording industry.

Anna is now gathering materials for her next album, and she wants all-original compositions. “I missed the recording studio,” she laughs. “Actually, pag medyo may time ako sa gabi, I sing at home. And it makes me relaxed especially if you work in the office the whole day.”

One of Anna’s business ventures is a deployment agency, the ATD International Services & Training Center, Inc., which sends Filipinos to work abroad. It has been in existence even before she joined showbiz.

But what occupied Anna’s time in the past two years is her Villa Anna Resort in Socorro, Oriental Mindoro. “I’m so happy to announce that finally I got my certificate of affiliation from the RCI (Resorts Condominium International). I can now officially offer our time-sharing scheme under Club Villa Anna International Holidays, Inc.” relates Anna.

On Nov. 18, the Club Villa Anna time-sharing scheme will be launched at the newly constructed office (Penthouse Emerald Bldg. Emerald Ave. Ortigas). Representatives from RCI Singapore will be gracing the event – Dan King (Regional Director-Business Development), and Asril Abdullah (Manager-Business Development for Southeast Asia).
