Tiya Pusit opens up about relationship with 27-year-old boyfriend on ‘Face The People’

It’s already tough for an older man to fall in love with a younger woman. In the case of Freddie Aguilar and 16-year-old Jovie Gatdula Albao, many believed it was against the law. That was until the couple converted to Islam and wed in Muslim rites last week.

Even without legal impediments, May-December affairs are still far from being a picnic, especially when the older party happens to be female. Veteran comedienne Tiya Pusit, now 65 and in a relationship with a 27-year-old man, can certainly attest to that.

Tiya Pusit defiantly declared on this Monday’s episode of TV5’s “Face The People”.

In the episode entitled, “Nobyo kong bagets, gusto nilang kalasan ko na: Tama o Mali?”, the comedienne also known as the sister of Nova Villa revealed how she met and eventually hooked up with Nathan Villa, her boyfriend of more than one year.

But just like in the episode that featured Ka Freddie in the “silya de kunsensya”, Tiya Pusit also encountered people who are opposed to her relationship, including good friend and fellow actress Vangie Labalan.

Labalan boldly asked.

Pusit retorted that sex is not the focal point of her relationship with Nathan now, especially after doctors had made it clear that it is not good for her health to engage in any sexual activity.

Hayaan ninyo akong maging masaya, wala naman akong ginagawang masama,” she shot back at her friend.

Not everyone, however, has a problem with Pusit’s lovelife. Gay comedian Inday Garutay is one of them.

How Pusit will resolve her dilemma at the end of the show should be interesting as hosts Gelli de Belen and Tintin Bersola-Babao will also ask life coaches Atty. Andie Joson and Jarret Pulido and the 100 people present in the audience to weigh in on the matter.

The “Face The People” episode airs on TV5 this Monday, November 25 at 4:30PM.
