Sarah G.’s Forthcoming Concert Promises To Be ‘Perfect’
Sarah Geronimo’s forthcoming concert to mark the 10th anniversary of her showbiz career aptly billed “Perfect 10,” promises to be perfect indeed, considering the lineup of her guest performers.
Leading the singing superstars who’ll be sharing the stage with the Pop Princess on Nov. 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum is international singer Lea Salonga. The others include Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, and the favorite duet partner of Kelly Clarkson, Jason Farol, who is in town to promote his new album.
Lea and Sarah were coaches on the recent “The Voice of the Philippines” talent search. Regine and Sarah had shared the concert stage before and the two singing idols have developed a strong musical kinship.
“Perfect 10” breaks new ground because it will be three shows in different venues. From the Big Dome, the concert moves over to the Mall of Asia Arena on Nov. 30 and then to Cebu on Dec. 7. Sarah will donate part of the proceeds from the Cebu concert to the victims of the deadly earthquake in Central Visayas last month.
Meanwhile, Sarah’s “Ikot-Ikot” music video zoomed to No. 1 spot last week in MYX, outperforming the videos of Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. “Ikot-Ikot” was trending on Twitter after Sarah sang it on her return to ABS-CBN’s Sunday show “ASAP 18.”
After finishing her stint on “The Voice of the Philippines,” Sarah focused on preparations for “Perfect 10.” She is completely immersed in the concert, choosing the songs she will perform, the costumes she will wear and even the stage design.
Sarah envisions “Perfect 10” to be the mother of all concerts, bigger than her most successful concert to date, “24/SG.”
Tickets to “Perfect 10” are still on sale on TicketNet and at Viva Concerts.
