Worth one more try: Bea welcomes Jake back in her arms

It took three months for teen stars Bea Binene and Jake Vargas to give their romantic relationship another try.

Bea admitted that the reconciliation happened days after her birthday. She turned 16 last Nov. 4 and she “accepted” the 21-year-old actor on Nov. 10.

Speaking to PEP, Bea related: “Palagi ko naman pong sinasabi na open arms ako (kay Jake kahit noong hiwalay kami).

“Kasi, nag-usap kami nung birthday ko. Tapos, after nung birthday ko, sinurprise niya ako uli sa taping ng ‘Vampire Ang Daddy Ko.’”

According to Bea, what made her decide to take Jake back in her arms is his promise that “he’ll be a better person.”

“Ayoko po siyang baguhin. Gusto ko lang po siyang maging better person. Saka ayoko pong ako ’yung magsabi sa kanya na gusto ko siyang baguhin,” she added.

Jake, for his part, realized Bea’s worth when she was gone. This made him decide to win her back. He also stood by his promise to Bea after breaking up: “Kahit magkahiwalay tayo, alam kong magkakaayos din tayo. Babalik at babalik ako sa iyo.”

“Na-realize ko na mahal ko pa rin talaga siya. So, gumawa ako ng effort, nag-e-effort ako sa kanya hanggang ngayon,” he said in a separate interview with PEP.

Jake did apologize to Bea’s mom as well. “Nag-sorry rin ako sa lahat ng nagawa ko. So, okay na kami, lumalabas kami, nagsisine kami… Masaya na rin ako at maayos na lahat.”

For Bea, reuniting with Jake meant having inspiration all over again. “Ang sarap! Na-miss ko. Parang ang sarap ng feeling, nakakatuwa,” she expressed.

Bea vows to use their recent split as lesson to make their relationship last. “We know what to do this time. Puwede naming i-apply ’yung natutunan namin dito sa amin ngayon.”
