Kris on PNoy’s performance: ‘Actions speak louder than any criticisms’

Actress-TV host Kris Aquino is unfazed by the criticisms hurled against the national government – headed by her brother President Benigno Aquino III – pertaining to the supposed mismanaged disaster reponse during and after super-typhoon “Yolanda.”

“I don’t care about them,” Kris told ABS-CBN News in recent press conference, referring to PNoy’s detractors. “Kasi the people na napuntahan namin, grabe ang gratitude. Kasi ’di ba, ’yung mga hindi ma-please are not the people there?”

She otherwise opined that, “Actions speak louder than any criticism.”

The Queen of All Media sees no reason to stand up for her brother, saying, “The fact na until now, he enjoys the trust of the people…”

Kris is also impressed of PNoy’s maturity in handling the situation. “Malaki na siya. Kasi kapag nae-emotional ako and nagte-text sa kanya, siya ang nagsasabi na ‘Relax.’”

Expounding on brother’s character growth, she noted, “You don’t become immune, but you become stronger. He’s been through everything. This year alone, lahat napagdaanan na so kung ano man iyon, bilib lang ako sa pagkatao niya that he has not changed.”

Kris has been engaged in ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya “Yolanda” relief efforts, and has spearheaded the personal delivery of goods to those affected in the Visayas area, with “Kris TV” co-host actress Angel Locsin, and good friend Boy Abunda.
